Proxicast Lan Cell 3 Router

Hello,
Have recently acquired one of these things. Seems to be a router that you can usb tether a 4g modem too.
Does anyone know about these things?
It has area where you pick a apn for provider and etc in the interface of it.
Wanting to know if I can hook an enclosure to it with a modem inside with out having rooter firmware?
Since it has its own software for it it seems.

Just scares me seems to easy. Right now just using it as a wifi repeater to supply ethernet to work computer that doesn't have wifi.
Temporary setup.
Thinking of trying this thing out with some thing.
