In the menus it seems like I can load balance two sierra wireless modems in golden orb. One modem internally and one in a USB enclosure.
I searched but could not find anything. Before I buy a USB enclosure (with it's own SIM slot and antennas) and another modem I wanted to make sure this was possible to load balance and use them at the same time? Has anyone done this?
Thanks!!!!
Can two modems be used at the same time with WE826-T2

Re: Can two modems be used at the same time with WE826-T2
Yes, it's possible, you just have to configure the two ttyUSB<x> devices properly in the router's settings, and turn on load balancing. Keep in mind, load-balancing will not actually increase your speeds, but will make sure you are always online in case one of the connections fails. Here's more info about it https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/net ... iwan/mwan3
To actually increase speeds, you need WAN/channel bonding called OpenMPTCProuter, but it's not an easy setup unless you're an advanced users. https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1078
