Proxicast ANT-129-001 or DP727L15 MIMO

Post by TechTastic »

Has anyone compared these antennas before? I currently have the proxicast but am looking to improve my signal strength/quality to improve speeds. I am curious if the DP727L15's would be any better than my existing setup. I can pick up bands 2,4,5, and 12/17 on AT&T. My best speeds with current setup seems to be using band 2 as primary with band 12 being used for aggregation. I can get up to 25-30 mbps down and 8-12 mbps up with a signal strength of around -105db. If anyone has alternate antenna suggestions I am all ears. I am roughly three miles from the tower but have quite a few trees and no line of sight to the tower. Have been trying out the MoFI4500 SIm 4 V2 but thinking also that upgrading to something that can do more than 2 channel aggregation might help as much as antennas.

I am using 25 foot cables at the moment to get from antenna to modem. Maybe reducing the cable length would be as good of an alternative? Thoughts?

Keeping the cable run as short as possible with low loss coax is always a good idea. In fact after a certain length you would loose all the gains you get from the external antennas.
