New to the site so my apologies if this isn't the right forum.
I live in a rural area with little options for internet. We have a local outfit that offers wireless broadband service but with my location we typically get about 2mg with bursts of ~4mg for no more than 10-15 seconds at a time and often slower than 2mg during normal hours. Our existing antenna is on a 50' tower on our property and should produce better speeds than it does. Some of the more talkative service techs over the years have said the company really has to many subscribers than there network can sustain and why we can never really break out of our limited bandwidth.
Our family usage tends to be like everyone else. We have a couple of gamers in the house depending on if we have a stable signal, streaming In the way of youtube although more than one video going at a time will tank the signal and social media. Any streaming service currently isn't possible with our existing setup.
Would an LTE system be a viable option in my case? I can offer additional detail of our current equipment, provider, etc. if anyone is able to help with any options. We have friends in our area with Satellite internet but they typically don't have good things to say about it.
Deeply appreciate any feedback for improving our options.

Re: Is LTE a Viable Option for My Situation
Here's all you need to get started.
Mobile data service

Mobile router/modem

Antennas
At first you can try your service with the "stubby" antennas which comes with the router, and if you'd like to improve your signal/speed, you may want to get a pair of high gain external antennas.
