Re: Cudy LT18
Quite a bit.
It's simple to setup.
Pretty dern fast
Good wifi speeds and coverage.
Can use outdoor antennas
What do you want to know?

I guess basically is it worth the money, or should I wait for the new 5G version? My problem is I live in a rural area and I doubt we will ever have 5G. I'm using a MoFi 5500 now and I get rather decent speeds most of the time using carrier aggregation on AT&T but the MoFi only AG two bands where the LT18 will do 5. I'm thinking I might be able to get better speeds more consistently with the LT18.

The MOFI5500 can aggregate 5+ bands, but it seems your cell tower can only offer 2x on the bands available. Its possible the modem in the mofi5500 you have just isn't wanting to connect to the bands you want, but it's hard to tell from here.
The LT18 is simple to use and is at the top end of LTE capability. The Sierra EM7690 in the LTE MOFI5500 is cat20, but honestly there is no real world difference in output performance between cat20 and cat18 that I have ever seen.
So the choice is do you want to try another device that may be easier to use or just keep what you have? Are you past the return window?

Ahhhh! I forgot about the MDC7411 version.TNRon wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 11:01 am Unfortunately my MoFi5500 has the EM7411 CAT7 modem that can only aggregate two signals. That’s one of the main reasons I’m considering something else.
Then, yes the LT18s modem would be a big upgrade. 5xCA capable and 4 antennas for 4x4 MIMO when supported on the cell tower and bands.
