Does anyone with an LBR20 know if it uses hotspot or mobile data on a Verizon tablet plan?
Thanks

Re: LBR20 & Verizon - hotspot or mobile data?
Almost every single major manufacturer device made to work on cellular data runs as a hotspot device and automatically counts towards hotspot data, if not every single major manufacturer device.
Nergear, Inseego, Orbi, Franklin, etc. All do.
The only indirect way of getting around this that I know of is to route all of your traffic through another router that can modify the TTL. The only direct way that I know of is to reflash the router with something that allows you to modify the TTL on the router directly.

Didneyworhl,
Would you bridge the orbi to another router somehow? I guess you'd be double-nat unless you did something to that effect.
Orbi 4g ---> OpenWRT ---> Devices?
I guess I thought unless you could somehow move the OpenWRT in front of the Orbi, how would you ultimately mod your TTL?
NM, seems that you just bridge orbi to a router & set your TTL there. Bridging doesn't affect TTL, just passes it through.
---------------------------
Looks like they might disable bridge mode when you use an LTE connection. LoL
I dunno what else I expected.

Yeah, basically pass all data through the openWRT router without dhcp or firewall, except the TTL mangle rules.
