WG3526/EM20-needs a firmware update

Post by RockyinNM »

New to doing firmware updates, have router/modem listed in title with a GoldenOrb build of---1-21-2020---looking for a stable upgrade.

Using a Verizon post paid tablet plan, in QMT mode--tried MBIM mode and pings doubled, but DL/UP speeds were close.
Thanks for your thoughts

The newer firmware versions fix the MBIM ping issue, though you can manually fix it if you want.

Didneywhorl, do you have any working knowledge, or shared knowledge that this would be an improvement to the firmware that I'm currently running? (1-21-2020) I hate to screw up a good thing--lol thanks for your time!

PS-How do you fix MBIM mode-with older firmware, can you share, or link me to it. Would it fix the disconnects on Verizon tablet plan-post paid?

Not sure of changes. But over a year out is a bit dated. You can always put it back.

Ill dig up the mbim stuff.

MBIM fix only decreases ping. That's all, as far as I know.
