Remote access to WE826Q router/modem?

Post by WorkingOnIt »

Hello,

I purchased the WE826Q from eBay and received it put together and "set up" for a sim card. It will work "ok" for a while, then suddenly drop. I think it's because the router needs updated firmware occasionally, or perhaps something else. I have the hardest trouble trying to figure out what is going on, and want to purchase something else, but having spent $$ on this already, I'm hoping I can make what I have work.

Anyway... Is there a way I can access my router remotely when the internet is down? I never seem to be home when the internet goes down, and I can't get my grandmother and kids to troubleshoot it.

Thank you!

A little over kill, you would also need a $350 new UniFi router

See https://youtu.be/jVRdrcJsbsE

The fact that the modem needs many restarts, it's a cry for help!
The LTE store has many affordable options!
Maybe time for an upgrade :ugeek:

Best to list your goals and budget.
And a little about your location like what carriers are in your area and how far you are away from the tower.

The LTE store can build you a setup or you can DIY if you have time and skill set.

There are also many here that could help you out. :D

There is no perfect solution there’s always pro’s and Con’s

A new 2Amp power brick may help you router/modem hanging problem.
