EM9191 with USB3M2-5GNANO-ADPT cannot be detected
Sierra EM9191 with USB3M2-5GNANO-ADPT is not detected.
Win10 DeviceManager can not detect it, and no response.
Tried USB3.1 port and USB2.0 port.
Tried 3x Win10, MAC, 2xUbuntu machines, but all the same issue.
Installed the latest driver did not change.
Installed with Administrator did not fix.
When I measured USB current, it's 0.0A, so the power is not ON.
Could anyone answer about this solution?

Re: EM9191 with USB3M2-5GNANO-ADPT cannot be detected
The EM9191 has special voltage requirements that almost no device supports yet. Some can be modified, but that is above me.

Thanks, Didnywhorl for the quick reply. I will check the power spec.

Some have had to solder points together.
The Sierra EM919x series comes in a pci mode, and needs a pin to be set to like 1.8V to go into USB mode. Something like this.

Thanks, Didneywhorl.
As your advice, pulled up #20 pin to 2.0V (spec is 1.35V to 2.1V) and it turns ON!!
The LED is flashing every 5 seconds, but it is not detected by DeviceManager.
DeviceManager doesn't response at all.
I tried with 2 PCs (both have the latest drivers) and same.
USB Power consumption is 0.08A to 0.11A stable.

Hmmm. Maybe there is another pin that needs a signal? Not sure. I'll try to find what I can.

It was fixed.
To wrap it up:
EM9191 with USB3M2-5GNANO-ADPT
1, Pull-up #20(1.35-2.1V) and #22(1.6-5.25V)
2, Install new drivers:

Maybe write up a tutorial with pictures and post it in the modem tutorial section? Help out others who come along!
