I currently have a WG3526 with a Sierra Wireless MC7455 mini pci-e to use with 4G. However, I'm unable to pull a signal with Tmobile as I'm in a hilly area/only get a cell signal from phone at top of hill. Supposedly 5G is now in my area (6ghz) and I'm wondering if I can install a 5G m.2 modem to pull a signal.
Can you install the "Mini PCI-E To M.2 (NGFF) Key B Adapter With Bottom SIM Card Slot" into a WG3526 in order to use an m.2 5G modem?
If so, recommendations on 5G modem?
Note, I've already tried stronger antennaes on the WG3526 with the MC7455 4G modem. Also, I'm still using a 4G phone but was looking to pull 5G on the WG3526 for hotspot (wifi calling). Wifi calling over satellite is very problematic/can only hear caller and come out garbled when speaking. Thus, have to walk up hill for reliable call.
Thanks for any advice.
5G modem possible on wg3526?

Use one of these with the 5G modems and plug it into the front USB port on the WG3526:

So far the Quectel RM500Q has been the only one I've seen tested with any real success.805guru wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 7:36 pm Good deal-- thanks. Do you have any recommendations for 5g modem to use on TMobile 5G?
