EDIT: Keeping Active Calyx Plan (1/9/2021) with Linkzone 2 to test with new tmo bands
Was going to sell this but just turned it on to find that I now am getting tmo bands with it on the Link Zone. I may as well fool around with it.

Ah wow. I wish they had given that promotion when I signed up. Guess I got the shaft. I suppose this is still a good deal if you just wanted to try it out and weren't sure if it was going to work for you.

I was just reading that. I'm actually gonna give it a shot because why not. I wish that the sims were more easily swappable into other devices. I don't feel like calling sprint and go through the saga of having them change it over.

Is this still working on TMobile bands?

Currently the updated SIMs of the Calyx accounts will use Tmobile bands if there are zero Sprint bands available. It is pretty strict about it too. Not even band locking seems to get around it.

Know don't have sprint bands here. But also concerned about moving the sim card to another device. Know one of those hot spot devices are not going to cut it for me. If you moved this sim card will it work still? Are they strict about moving these sim cards?Didneywhorl wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 11:08 pm Currently the updated SIMs of the Calyx accounts will use Tmobile bands if there are zero Sprint bands available. According to the ToS, you can't do it. According to me... Well I've had mine in about 300 different device at least. I use my SIM to test equipment connections. Swap the SIM, change the APN, connect. Its basically that easy. No TTL changes needed, since it is a hotspot plan.
I did put it back in the old Franklin to get the PRL profile update for roaming on Tmo, but its back to working in a WiFiX WG3526-P with a Quectel EM160 modem via USB3 to M.2 5G adapter enclosure board, all inside a WiFiX medium PCB outdoor router enclosure. Like a champ I might add.
(Antennas are dual band WiFi antennas that work great as LTE antennas tbh, but these are for testing before adding a 4x4 MIMO WiFiX flat panel directional antenna.)
All equipment in the picture and mentioned above come from thewirelesshaven.com
