Exterior installation of LM960

Post by MarkB »

I'm ordering a LM960 and want to mount on the outside of my house with 4x4 mimo antennas and powered by poe. I have a cat 6 cable installed and will have a poe+ switch and the LM960. What kind of case/enclosure do I install the LM960 into? Will it accept the RJ45 connector for poe or will I need some kind of splitter?
Any recommendations for weather proof box for modem?

You will need to install the LM960 into a 4G gateway router, like the WG3526p, and enclose it in a weatherproof box. I made a tutorial a few years ago on here that gets you in the ballpark for what you need.

There is a way to mount the modem in a usb to m.2 modem enclosure adapter and out it inside an antenna enclosure then power it over a long usb cord, but I've never done it myself,
