Calyx Sim in a AER1600-LP6

Post by diggitys00 »

I am in the process of migrating a Calyx Sim card from a Sierra Wireless MC7455 to a Cradlepoint AER1600-LP6 router/modem.

I am getting an error: “AutoSelect failed: all profiles failed connection”

The “default override” APN is set to r.ispsn,

however the modem appears to be trying to connect to OTASN.

Any ideas?

You may have to use the CLI interface and run ATTERM and run commands to ensure its using the generic firmware, clear out the APN info (AT+CGDCONT commands) and maybe even manually enter the APN with the AT+CGDCONT command. Look up this command on this forum for tons of info.

You are going to have a bad time with Cradlepoint due to the way they have the Sierra Wireless modems set up. It will switch to Sprint firmware automatically and so far no one has figured out how to disable that in order for your Calyx sim to work on generic firmware. Search on the forums. Many people have this problem.
