Do you have any pics of how you modified this? do you have a link where to buy the copper slugs or the heat sink you put on the other side. I found mine was running quite hot today, not sure if there was some problem since I wasnt really doing much on the net.

I've found that QMI doesn't do well for me on Verizon nor T-mobile. I just default to MBIM for everything now.

by any chance, is the VPN connection using the UDP protocol, vs the TCP protocol? i have a sneaking suspicion that if you switched to TCP, the thermal stress would go away.

I have an em9191 with t-mobile. I would randomly have issues with random disconnections. I updated the modem to the latest and now i just have my router reset every morning before i get up. From time to time ill just reset the modem and not the router.

Can anyone with a sierra em9191 and T-Mobile confirm Whether they have random disconnections in 2022? I might actually just buy one to give it a try. After like a week of having it work and not disconnecting after I got my external modem enclosure, the problem is back again

Just the internet, wifi stays up and the modem tells me it's connected but the connection monitor tells me "DOWN". When I say rebooting it I'm just doing the modem, 'at+cfun=1,1'. I had this same problem with an em7565 and switched to visible because of it but visible is way to slow.

So, i created a 3D printer .STL file to replicate the lid for the modem enclosure. I added a spot on the top for me to mount a 40mm fan as well to cool the modem. A little update, I've just had to reboot the modem twice tonight using a WE1326 and an external enclosure. Odd how it worked fine for almost a week with no issues now I'm getting the same problem. I'm gonna completely disable the wifi on it and see if it happens again.

That is a usable upload speed. Allot of cable company internet service uploads are not much more than that.

One thing ive noticed is that when its raining, the rain affects the upstream connection significantly more than the downstream connection. my downstream connection is hardly affected, but the upstream dropped in half or more.

for band 2? If it is like -112 or worse that is your issue.
I always got best upload on band 2 with the 20 MHz of data on it. Always needed like a signal strength of -106 or better.

Yes that is what I mean. Paddle antennas will do just fine if you take to the tower. You are basically cutting out all of the variables that are based on signal strength and noise. If you are close to the tower and in general line of site then you don't have to worry about signal strengths, you ...
