Orbi doesn't really do a true VLAN network segmentation. That's just a different price category all together I suppose. I guess Voxel could try & address it like openwrt but I think we're lucky to have what we do with it the way nvram handles everything.

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
You may find solution to DNS issues by searching "DNS leaks openvpn". Maybe you can point your traffic to the VPNs DNS server instead of provider. This is just a hint, not sure if it will work...

There is no bridge mode, for all practical purposes, on the LBR20.IronBorg wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 1:28 pm Hello and thank you for the awesome firmware. I'm currently running V9.2.5.2.25SF-HW and have successfully connected to the router using SSH. Can someone please help me with enabling bridge mode please?

Sorry Crasoum,
I've been out sick. Did it work for you??
I would check logs to verify it's making a connection and, if so, you're good.

Re: RaspAP Router
I currently run OPNsense at my primary residence. Would be neat, but I shudder at the thought of running it with wlan0! Ha!
I do believe it's based on BSD, however, which almost always lags so far behind on hardware... I can almost guarantee OPNsense wouldn't run a 4g modem, I'm not sure about ...

Re: LBR20 with Asus AC68U AiMesh
I don't believe the LBR20 bridges. There is a bridge mode but it is for some southeast asian IP TV services and doesn't do what you want it to do. You can probably disable wifi via voxel somehow and run the AC68U as an AP - orbi will be doing your routing however.

RaspAP Router
Would be neat to see someone do something like this with a RPi & 4g modem. Looks like they have integration for it.

I forked a keep-alive script for the Orbi and added it to my cron. Working good so far.

Hazarjast - have you found /rom/sbin/wlandebug.sh
It's a pretty interesting file. It's literally every setting in the router.

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
They were just defaults from the original orbi firmware... I left them alone, though you could probably delete/comment them out. I assume on is for "AppArmor" which most people are disabling and the other is QoS to divide up your connection between devices essentially. I dont know *exactly* what ...

Is there any sort of cron with voxel? (NM - found cron - will see if I can get it to stick)
Will it try and auto-update the firmware if I don't use any sort of DNS block?

So for anyone else looking. Didneywhorl was correct - it gets passed as hotspot in VZW Tablet plans. I am having great luck on page plus though!

Re: LBR20 & Verizon - hotspot or mobile data?
Didneyworhl,
Would you bridge the orbi to another router somehow? I guess you'd be double-nat unless you did something to that effect.
Orbi 4g ---> OpenWRT ---> Devices?
I guess I thought unless you could somehow move the OpenWRT in front of the Orbi, how would you ultimately mod your TTL?

Re: LBR20 & Verizon - hotspot or mobile data?
Is that not the TTL he set on voxel? I’m running stock firmware atm. If that runs as hotspot data it’s a complete waste unless I flash it.

Device to upgrade firmware - m.2 & pci
Can anyone recommend a device to connect to modem for USB-M.2 & PCIe that will allow me to upgrade modem firmware?
I often see it referenced but will any m.2 to usb work? Even the ones for harddrives?
