Using lessons learned here to fix a baby monitor
Long story short, we bought a baby monitor that had almost no transmission range. Took the camera housing apart, and found the antenna connector(it was either a mh4 or ufl type) was disconnected. Attached it, and it'll transmit from anywhere in the house! Wouldn't know what to look for if I hadn't ...

YES, I have been having the same issues. I did speed test on a bunch of different sites, google 0.6, testmy.net 600kb, fast.com 1.5, speedtest.net 60+, websites take 20 seconds to load and downloads a lifetime. Its definitely getting throttled by At&t, can stream youtube or netflix videos at low ...

However, the internet light never came on, and I had no internet, leading me to suspect there may be a modem ...

Managed to hook up a laptop via ethernet to the MOFI during a slowdown mode, still got the slow speeds. Kinda leaning toward AT&T shenanigans. Currently bandlocked on 2 and 5, as I have been for the past year since the new tower was put up.

SFC and DNS flush didn't help. Changing the DNS didn't help. However, Chrome and FF is blocking me from accessing any VPN site. There must be a setting somewhere in Windows that's hamstringing the internet, and keeping speeds slow.

I'll have to agree with Matt that the Amazon Netgear antenna won't help much with the signal strength you have. However, you will need TS9 to SMA female adapters to use with the ebay antenna. The Wireless Haven sells them, the ones I bought for my Nighthawk fits pretty good.

On your TMO app, it should tell you the bandwidth of the cell you're getting your data from. If it's just 5mhz, then all the bars in the world won't help you much. You say that the speed quadruples when you get close to the tower, verify that it's the same tower you get at home. You've probably ...

Re: [SOLVED!] Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)
If I replace the port 80 and 443 values with other working ports(if there are any), will that stop the interrupts? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Halberd Bastion has antennas designed for mobile use that'll go up to 6k mhz, but alas, will only go down to 698 mhz.

Iskra P58
This is the antenna setup I have here at home. I actually found these on ebay; shipped from Latvia, they cost $110. I live in a low area, with no LOS to any tower nearby. My main tower is 13 miles away; using the wide paddles on the MOFI, I would max out at 5 down, usually 1 or 2. With the Irskas ...

Re: WE826GO-U how to see my signal strength?
Google maps says the tower is near Harmony(there's a church near the tower); it's probably a former settlement where only the locals call it that.
I don't have a pic of my antenna installation, but here's the antenna set I bought. I need to do a write-up on them in the antenna section; I bought ...

Re: WE826GO-U how to see my signal strength?
Ok so testing Verizon in the modem I followed the guide here https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1703&p=11859&hilit#p11658 to get it to connect. Worked fine. I didn't add the last AT command for ipv6 since that was based on visible and not verizon. So it's working but not.
In the first ...

You may want to see if T-Mobile Home Internet is available for your location. :geek:

The purpose of the test drive is to see if I could even get TMO service here; The closest tower is 6 miles away. Not sure if that's the tower I'm getting data from; the Franklin ...

Re: Using T-Mobile Test Drive
Got mine today. I have to use the cell phone booster and use 5G band wifi to get it to work, but I'm getting 7 down, about 1 up. In case you want to know, the T9 uses a 9207 LTE Modem, which is cat 1.

Re: Using T-Mobile Test Drive
I'm kinda guarded on whether T-Mobile's Rural Internet gateway will work here; there seems to be no antenna connectors on the device, and I'm 99% sure I'll need something to help the signal. T-M claims I can get 5G here(yeah, right).

Using T-Mobile Test Drive
T-Mobile has supposedly expanded their Home Internet coverage, so in order to see if I can actually get T-M service here, I signed up for their Test Drive 30 day trial. They are supposed to send a hotspot with a sim card; I wonder if there's a way to take that sim, and install it in the MOFI ...

Re: Tower "DXing"; does this happen often?
Spent many hours as a kid listening to faraway stations on AM and shortwave, still have a shortwave radio, though there's not nearly as much to listen to anymore. We have been under the influence of a strong high pressure system the past few days; I even got a 43 mbps D/L (which is 50% higher than ...

Re: Tower "DXing"; does this happen often?
I can "see" the tower on cellmapper using Google Earth, using the data provided by a cell signal app(not cellmapper) on my wife's phone, and matching the eBN ID on cellmapper. This is verified by taking the MOFI hex provided, and using a hex calculator. The eBN ID of the tower I get most of my ...

Tower "DXing"; does this happen often?
Long story short, I live in an "AT&T LTE hole" where the surrounding towers are beaming away from me, so the closest tower I can actually regularly connect to is 13 miles away. Using a set of Iskra P-58s, I can get, on a good day, in the low to mid 20s on B2(15mhz) with my MOFI.
Last night, I ...

Is the sim a nano sim? The LB1120 requires a micro sim, so if you have a nano sim, you need an adapter for it to work in the LB1120.

Using a sim from an ebay reseller at $65/mo, and currently at 660GB this month, no throttling as far as I can tell.
