Re: Good Verizon plans for Gl-Inet x750v2 router
I have a Gl-net x750 working on an old verizon ipad plan as well as a pageplus plan. The key is ttl 117, first activating the sim card in an actual verizon compatible device, then *cough* converting your router to correspond with that legitimate device hardware id *cough*, then correct apn ...

Yes, your LP6 modem allows CA and allows these combos that I ripped from the modem (the router and modem are two separate devices, the router housing the modem in your case) description page:

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
Regarding your last post... Yes, you don't see a yagi and omni together for MIMO setups because people usually buy their antennas together and it just makes more sense to buy two of the same. The two antennas can be on the same pole. Space them as much as you reasonably can while keeping them both ...

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
Ok so a couple of things... First of all, and I've tested this and am publishing the results on here soon, if you use external antennas and an LTE modem, you won't be using the booster. It won't help you 99% likely. I'm not the first to test this, so has the CEO of wavefarm and the RVMobileInternet ...

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
The LTE modem could use the booster antennas! You will just need to make sure all the cables connect with proper adapters and such. But, an antenna is an antennas as I have learned! As long as the antenna has the desired frequency you wish, it all works the same

Re: I want more speed!
I think your understanding of CA needs a bit of clarification. So multi-tower CA can happen but is incredibly rare/ isn't deployed many places from my understanding. CA is mainly referring to gathering multiple blocks of spectrum from the same tower (either intraband B4,B4 for example or interband ...

Re: I want more speed!
But, let me clarify... You 100% NEED a secondary antenna to take advantage of your full LTE speed. The secondary antenna often increases signal quality as well, increasing speeds a bit that way too. Also, if you only get Band 13, it is only capable of 2x MIMO so 2 antennas will max your speed, not 4 ...

Re: I want more speed!
Anything will be better than your paddle antenna as a secondary haha. But, really the secondary is just that, secondary. It matters, but a lot less once you have the grid (as your primary) pointed at the tower. Speaking of the panel antennas with two inside, I assume you're speaking of one like this ...

Re: I want more speed!
Hello all,
Seen mentioned here and there that people are using parabolic grid antennas. This is something I haven't tried yet. Reason being is afraid how difficult to tune in and don't believe they are a wide band antenna for carrier aggregation.
Wandering if anyone had any info about them to ...

Even if they are good cables, the coax is going to lose signal relatively quickly compared to a digital signal.

Re: Better signal but horrible download speeds
Yep, the coax run is the most likely situation for signal loss. Coax is analog and thus gets signal attenuation relatively quickly. Instead, what you should do is get the router right next to the antenna, put the router in modem/bridge mode and run a ethernet cable from the antennas and router ...

Re: I want more speed!
If you're like me and really in the sticks. You won't get interband (across bands, say B13 and another band) CA or intraband (two channels in B13 in your and my case) CA. I found having a proper MIMO setup really helped my speeds. I just recieved a lot of antennas in to test and am aggregating ...

So, I’m in the process of collecting my own antenna results and on a quest to solve my internet problems. In my preliminary results, I’ve noticed some weird things.

@ gscheb found this about PagePlus, https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=6785#p6785 . Doesn't sound promising with a Sierra modem.
I just received my Quectel EM12 modem. Hopefully I'll have some time to try it out on PagePlus this weekend and see if I can get better results.

Re: Verizon data plan options
Both a modem's CAT# and antenna/signal are imports, but a higher CAT# modem can definitely do some magic even with weaker signals using CA (Carrier Aggregation). So my advice is get the highest CAT# modem you can afford, and a pair of high gain external directional antennas, which will go a long ...

So, I have a signal meter on the way so I can check what carriers and frequencies are available but I'm pretty certain just Verizon and just Band 13, BUT I don't want to buy a modem/router that will limit me.
