Re: wg1608 with RM520N-GLAP possible?
I purchased an RM520N-GL(AP) variant before I knew the difference between AA and AP.
RM520N-GLAA supports USB and PCIe.
RM520N-GLAP supports only PCIe.
When I plugged it into my WG1608, nothing happened. It doesn't detect the board. Is there any way to get RM520N-GLAP working in my WG1608 16m ...

With all the above being said it doesn't look like this a a viable option for me.
Can you recommend an industrial grade router that would be ROOTer compatible and withstand these ambient temperatures? It would be great if it was smaller than the WG1608 but couldn't be any bigger.

You have to manually set your IP on your PC to your newer subnet (turn DHCP off) and access the GUI before the time runs out or the changes won't take.
With that said I never have been able to get this to work well. I have better luck setting a static route in the WG1608 to the down stream router ...

CA is a game with the carriers.
Some modems have a scanning command, like the RM5xx series uses AT+QSCAN=3 (when there is no SIM card present) and it will tell you everything the modem can see. Other modems might, but I don't know the command. Some have developed scripts that run on the router ...

There is a command in there that allows you to define your top 3 bands you prefer. I've not seen how well it works though. I'd have to dig. Its under the QENG command set I think, but it may be under NWPREFCFG commands.

Re: WG1608 Setup help
Try running the latest firmware version WG1608-GO2020-12-02, it usually contains bug fixes.

The EM16 is a new modem, and probably will come with the latest firmware anyway. When contacting Quectel support, they require you to include ...

Re: WE826 TTL confusion?
I would guess 65 or 66. Set it and check to see if your data is counting as hotspot data or not. Dont forget the ipv6 'ttl' (HL)
I use TTL 64 for T-Mobile
Thanks guys, I will log in and see what it is currently being reported as. I just didn't know what TTL value we are after when I ping ...

If I set my TTL in WiFix to 65 when I ping 8.8.8.8 in CMD it returns 63
If I set my TTL in WiFix to 67 when I ping 8.8.8.8 in CMD it returns 65
Which would be correct for tmobile?

Re: Quectel EP06-A AT commands for carrier aggregation bandlock?
The router will need roughly 60W-70W of available power for itself on poe. 72W POe injectors are what I use, the The Wireless Haven store on facebook has them.
The cat20 modem will FOR SURE work better, it will just be overkill for your router. A cat 6 modem is great, a cat 12, like the Quectel ...

Re: Quectel EP06-A AT commands for carrier aggregation bandlock?
^ This would be preferred.
I also wanted to clarify, it's up to the tower to allow CA over a band mix and band-locking might disable that compatibility.
If band-locking is being done because other bands don't provide the expected throughput, it's unlikely the tower will allow CA to occur unless a ...

Re: Quectel EP06-A AT commands for carrier aggregation bandlock?
Ah I see now. Those flat panels are definitely going to have to come down the road, I am going to need about 100' (x2 50') of that LMR400 cable. So that setup is going to end up costing me $250+.
Maybe I can get a set of those paddle antennas for now and just lock band 30 for a little improvement ...

Hello,
Those flat panel antennas are very good for sure if you want those down the road.
To band lock to band 30 and 12 this is the command below.
AT+QCFG="band",0,20000800
Now remember this will not make 30 your primary just will make the those two the only two available to it.

Re: Quectel EP06-A AT commands for carrier aggregation bandlock?
Hello everyone I am back with another question on CA.
We have recently purchased a new house and moved, I am having some troubles with the CA at the new house.
Basically the best band for me to connect to is 30, it results in 20-23mb down at a 58% signal connection.
When it CA's with band 12 I ...

Good Antenna Options?
Hey all, I am in need of some recommendations on an antenna setup, just purchased a new home and it is heavily wooded with tall 15 year old pines. Would like to keep the antenna and cable under $150 if possible, I am predicting about 25' of cable needed.

Enter the following AT commands, and write down your original band values before changing anything.
AT+QNWINFO < Current band in use
AT+QCFG=”Band” < Current bands config
AT+CSQ < Check signal strength
To configure single LTE bands or combinations, use the following AT Commands:

WE-826-T2 IPV6 Disable
Hey guys where are the settings to disable IPV6 on this router? I am running an ATT unlimited data tablet plan with my phone service. I think maybe the IPV6 could be reducing my speeds. I am getting 50 down on my phone but only 15 on the router modem setup.
