Have done several T-Mobile phone sim plans and they are simple to do.
Apn = fast.t-mobile.com
TTL = 64
And that is about it.

I deleted everything from the custom firewall and entered in the code you recommended, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have yielded any improvement. Perhaps that is only one piece of the puzzle or there are some other settings that were previously set that need to be changed.

Well I honestly haven't seen slow down on visible. The ping is high. If that doesn't matter to you it is alright. Basically same as Verizon with higher ping. Maybe other areas are different. But in the sticks where I am this is what I am seeing.

Looking at that antenna has max gain of 11 DBI. That is usually on the highest frequencies. T-Mobile band 2 is at 1900 Mhz.

This worked for an EM160R-GL on Visible. Only change:
Instead of
- Set to 4g LTE only Command = AT+QCFG="nwscanmode",3,1
Use
- Set to 4g LTE only Command = AT+QNWPREFCFG="mode_pref",LTE

Recently had issues with the new openwrt stuff not having certificate done. Had to use chrome put in the 192.168.1.1 then will get error. Have to go to advanced in the window of the error and say go anyway.
Also do a control and F5 before hand while in chrome.

With disconnects find it is best to keep the connection fresh. Use the auto reboot feature in rooter. Set up to do it in the middle of the night when no one is up.

When I tune in my antennas take my phone with me on roof. Log into rooter and watch signal strength and quality as I turn it.
If try to run speed test on roof it is junk. But the slightest wifi signal will allow to get into the UI and watch those signal readings.

I believe the nighthawk will not perform wifi properly with out the battery in. No wifi with no battery no issue though. Used to use one with no battery hooked to different router with the nighthawk wifi off.

Best set up I have used with Visible so far is a Quectel EM12. Usually use it in a WE826 router. The lan ports on WE826 are capped at 100 Mbps. But that not an issue for me. Just worth mentioning.

Got to make sure your antennas get the frequency you are wanting to pull in. Band 2 is 1900 MhZ I believe. I have had good luck with mimo parabolic and longer runs on cable for higher frequency bands. The dbi gain is higher on those. The Wireless Haven did sell these at one time.

Don't know if you can fix it. The WE826-T2 router is famous for bad WiFi results. For years have been using secondary router like you are talking about. With 5ghz router connected to them been able to get about the same as Ethernet connection.

Yes this is true the WE826 is a bottle neck. Won't ever go over 100 Mbps. Allot of people say it won't ever go over like 85 Mbps. Have seen like 92 Mbps before out of it.

I dont like the lower end router only because their wifi is so weak (and only 2.4ghz) and they only have 10/100 ethernet ports. For a little more you should get the wg3526 which has gigabit ethernet ports.

Yes an outdoor antenna is the only way I know of to improve that upload speed. With the sound of your goals don't need super expensive modem just quality antenna.

Used 2 amp for long time on mine for visible and TMobile. But had all kinds of issues staying connected to at&t. Finally started using a lesser device and it stays connected. A Netgear LB1120. Not saying anyone should get one of these. Just saying sometimes there is goofy stuff that might never make ...

Make sure these antennas you are using are 50 ohm. Allot of booster antennas are 75 ohm.

Visible speeds are all over the place. Seen 7-14 then literally 70-90 the next minute. Honestly for one person that might be enough speed to work.
Do you plan on moving around in this thing or just sitting in one place?

With Verizon typically band 13 is the slower one.
Try just blocking it out.

Well been using it for awhile now cause it is a deal. Probably always use it for personal phone at minimum. Still working as of now. Wouldn't use it as my main source of data but think it is great for a supplement.

That's fantastic. What plan is this?
I always connect through an iPAD with tethering on and TMobile randomly allocate parts of the traffic to hotspot and then throttles the whole line to 512kbps once the hotspot allocation hits 20GB.
