This started happening to one of the cards I activated so far. Started messing up. Was in a Netgear lb1120. Changed the ttl on the computer started working again.

I like Quectel modems. Since they can be set up for auto reboot. Some modems like sierra wireless have to have power cycle (turned on and off). Which can't be done automatically.

It seems like I'm not able to hold onto the "Primary" b66 signal and that is kicking me off of "Secondary" n71 and into "Primary" B71, which is the home of bad speeds.

Another small test is to play with what Antenna lead is to what modem lead on the can. Would start with one pair going L1 and L2. The other to L3 and L4.

Hello, Had a issue in the past that Mofi firmware wouldn't work since was using the wrong protocol. Allot of time when you flash firmware will change your protocol.

Don't know why but in the past when had issues loading firmware onto a WE826-T2 this firmware would work. Once had it on there could load what ever firmware I wanted. Always loaded it with the bootloader method that talked about earlier ...

So yeah I agree something is up with issues you are having. Band 12 is a lower frequency able to travel farther. Which is why you can get it pointed the wrong way. With it being a lower frequency it will be slower as well.
Hopefully this is just a tower needing repaired.

I'm using a t-mobile data only SIM. They aren't different plans. I'm physically moving the SIM card between different devices. The phone is a OnePlus 8. Which is a 5g phone, but I'm only testing on lte.

Far as I know the only difference would be the limitations of the Lan ports. For example a WE826 has 100 Mbps limited Lan ports. Allot of people say it will be actually limited to 85 Mbps in real life use.

Turn custom TTL setting off. When you use the custom rules then you don't use custom ttl at all. Try that and see if that changes anything.

Well the T-Mobile way with phone sim is against terms of service but it isn't illegal. Used this at three houses on differnt setups running for couple years no issues. I used a terabyte or more per month on mine.

If they are cheaper devices more than likely category 4 or 6.

Agree the T-Mobile gateway is quirky and hard to manage. For example the signal strengths usually don't equal speed. Can't rely on the info it gives you.
With that being said mine doesn't over heat. Keep the outer case off of it, don't use the WiFi function on it and don't have it in a window.

Trees close to the antenna are the worse. If there is a good distance between antenna and trees usually fine. Sometimes just eliminating a tree or two that are close makes a huge difference. Just sharing info. Glad that it is working for you as is.

So I tethered a phone to the router for hours with no issue. So some how visible can now detect you are using a router modem IMEI. This is the issue now with visible. Just to share the information.

Update, out of boredom i put the router on my roof with the standard antennas and my reflector, ran a 20 ft ethernet cable to my pc. Best results by far 35mbs down and 5 mbs up. So am i getting some major loss through my cables?

Used a parabolic grid type antenna in attics few times and able to pick up higher frequency bands. Probably due to they are such high gain. With that being said worked even better outside then shooting thru siding or shingles.
