Rooting Inseego Mifi X Pro (M3100)

Does have information on how you would obtain root access on a M3000 series hotspot?

It is running a SDX65, similar to the MR6500. It doesn't appear to expose the same ports, but exposes 1883, and 7777. When I try to telnet to them its garbled.

Ideas?

I have not had that one yet, sooner or later someone will send me one to play with, are you able to find fastboot mode on it?

Yes absolutely

It seems like flashing is unlocked natively. When I telnet into 7777 it is garbled nonsense as opposed to a netgear for example you can send AT commands.

Thats good, if you can get to fastboot then firmware can prob be made for this one.

How do you access fastboot on the Inseego devices?

remove battery and cable then hold reset while you plug in the cable and keep holding reset until your pc dings (about 5 seconds)
