WE826-T2 Firmware Upgrade Fail

I have a WE826-T2 with some strange build of OpenWRT on it. I can't update the firmware from the normal web interface or the recovery interface. When I try to upgrade in the "normal" interface it gives an "incorrect model" error. When I try to update it through the recovery mode the page simply disappears once I click upgrade, and even after waiting 10 minutes before rebooting it, it stays on the original firmware.

What am I doing wrong? I have tried with multiple firmwares (wifix, goldenorb)

page will disappear if you are using wifi to upgrade. use lan cable. we826 has 2 versions, mediatek and qualcom chipset. t/t2 is mediatek while q is qualcom.
