Convert Cell info to Towers

Post by ktukker »

Hello,

I am trying to make sense of the information provided in the MOFI Modem internal Status and cellmapper.net

Code: Select all

Cell Status:

Global Cell Id: 2b0960b
Serving Cell Id: 1e9 (489)
TAC: 3468
EARFCN: 28a

No of sets of of following info:
  Cell Number 3 information
  Physical Cell Id (PCI) : 1e9 (489)
  RSRQ : -118
  RSRP: -1130
  RSSI : -844
  SRX-lev : 0
How should I interpret this data and do I translate this to tower information that I can find in cellmapper.net

Thanks

The Global Cell Id is hex. Convert the first 5 characters to decimal and that will equate to the eNB ID shown on cellmapper.

In your example, the eNB ID should be 176278. The Serving Cell ID decimal value in parens will equate to the PCI (possibly also in parens but not sure?) shown on the band info for cellmapper.

Additionally, from what I've observed, the RSRQ, RSRP, and RSSI numbers reported on my MoFi SIM4 GUI aren't even in the same ball park as what AT!GSTATUS? shows.
