Cell Tower Location Help

Post by LakeTown87 »

I am currently in a situation where my MOFI will kick me from one tower to another from time to time. I will have new directional antennas soon but would like to know for a fact the exact locations of the towers I am connecting to. In trying to lookup locations using the cell ID, the only thing I have found really is by using Mc, lac, mnc, and cid on cell finder. The site gives instructions on how Tonuse a network monitor (android) to get this info but all I have is an iPhone. How can I easily get this information to be able to track down the exact or within a couple miles exact locations?

Here is link to AT&T tower find help
https://www.cellmapper.net/map?MCC=310& ... lours=true
This helps but isn't always correct info have seen it be wrong.

Google maps put in satellite view to help see actual landmarks should be able to find tower.
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.3204212 ... a=!3m1!1e3
Then right click do measure distance.
Can then pull the ends around to measure distance.
From there I usually use the line it strikes to a landmark close to me to point at.
Neighbors garden tree fence post etc.
Once you have it pointed at local land mark start tweaking little by little and look at your antenna readings.
