How to connect Nighthawk M6 PRO to telnet without a battery

Post by Gmrss »

Hello. I connected M6 PRO to computer USB port to do some operations in telnet. But there appeared a message on the screen of the router that it can work with its native power charger only. And telnet did not work, because the device did not power on. The router was without a battery. So I had to insert a battery and connect it again to PC to work with it. Let me know please how to connect it to telnet without a battery.

Have you tried changing power manager settings under general option While connected to wall adapter?

In Power Mode there are the following options, but it is not possible to switch between them (at least when it is powered on without battery). It is always in this mode: Plugged in - Max performance, battery removed. I cannot change it, because other two options are:
Balanced - Best battery life.
Performance - Best performance on battery.

My point was not to take a battery with me when I go to other place, because battery is rather heavy and I have power bank which I can use when necessary. But without battery the router cannot be connected to notebook USB saying that I need to use supplied power adapter when operating without battery. Previous Nighthawks had no such problem.
