GL-MT6000 + GL-M2

Post by FiveJeezy »

Using the GL-MT6000 with a GL-M2 for cellular connection, but I don't see an options or icons for Signal Tower Lock, Historical Signal Record, or Band Masking. I've never had those options the whole time I've owned this router.

Does anyone know if these options were ever present on this router firmware?

With some external USB modems and especially with a phone as a modem, band-locking and other advanced options may not be available.
Try flashing it with the latest GLINet and GoldenOrb firmwares, and test them both.

GLINet

GoldenOrb

A bigger issues with both the GLINet and GoldenOrb firmwares based on OpenWRT v22 and higher (also used on many newer routers), no longer has an easy IPTables GUI under Firewall for "Custom TTL Rules". Firewall3/IPTables has been replaced with Firewall4/NFTables which can only be set via SSH commands for both IPv4+v6 at this time.

Here's a method of setting the TTL in FW4/NFTables (credit to Didneywhorl).
