Re: Chipset
Working to be the first professional solution with it. It hasn't been fcc approved yet though, so that's a first barrier.
Re: Chipset
Looks Like CTR just dropped there x65 offering this week. When the x65 offering of the Invisagig drops, and I have confidence it will, if we could have maybe say, an upgrade path maybe even a card swap option that would be super duper, cause I am pretty sure my tower has more aggregation to tap into on 5G

Re: Chipset
Yeah Alfredo was quick on it. It's an easy swap in for any router that supports the RM520. Good for anyone wanting to get in early. In fact it's using the same pid. Engineering samples can be odd.
Re: Chipset
So is this meaning this is not on a production scale yet with the x65?Didneywhorl wrote: Sun Dec 24, 2023 2:54 pm Yeah Alfredo was quick on it. Re: Chipset
Correct. It's still in engineering samples stage. No FCC approval yet. It should be fine, and seems to work well, just not technically done "cooking" yet.

Nope. You can check here for all FCC activity: https://fccid.io/XMRryebread wrote: Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:24 pm Hi. Just wondering if there's been any progress on getting FCC approval for the X65. Is there any good news by chance?

Re: Chipset
Could you buy a Quectel RM520F-GL and install it in invisagig for use or would there need to be a firmware for this?

Re: Chipset
No, though if you ask they will sell one to you with the521 in it, under the understanding that you are getting an Engineering sample modem with technically beta level firmware, and no guarantee for functional core updates from Quectel, meaning the functions that do not work now, likely wont work in the future. (5G tower scan is the only only I know of so far that doesn't work, that is a bug in the modem core.)SteeledPick wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 10:48 pm Could you buy a Quectel RM520F-GL and install it in invisagig for use or would there need to be a firmware for this?
InvisaGig wont offer the x65 version publicly until the RM521G gets FCC approval.
