RM502Q-AE question

Post by punkguy00017 »

ive got that modem and i have 4 antennas connected when i run qrsrp=? it gives me a reading on all antennas but on the first set of antennas 2 it gives me -115,110, and on the other two it gives me -140,-140. Is my modem not on 4x4 mimo? Is there a command to turn it on i ve looked all over this site wasnt able to find anything but AT+QCFG="lte4x4mimo/disable",1 and it returns with an "ERROR"

Could be two things. One, when idle it seems to "let go" of the extra streams, some form of power saving. If I start a download in the background, all 4 light up as they should.

Second, if you're only connected to a low band signal, it only uses 2 antennas. However, normally these show up as -65534 instead of -140, but I've seen both.

I've had no luck with the enable/disable 4x4 settings myself, and from what I saw on the Quectel forum, they're now saying just don't connect the second set of antennas and it will not use those.. which I'm not a fan of, it sounds like they removed the manual setting... But by default it should be 4x4
