Hello,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me troubleshoot this issue.
I got my NEXP1GO /Quectel RM502Q-AE back in March from the wireless haven.
After working with one of the techs for my build, it was successfully connecting to T-Mobile, and has been working gr0eat until last night.

About midnight, last night, I lost internet connection.
Checking the modem status shows it connected to T-Mobile, signal strength and quality appear to be normal.
Looking at the overview page, I have no external IP address.

Looking at the connection log, I see this:
Sun May 1 09:13:40 2022 : Connection Log Cleared by User
Sun May 1 09:09:51 2022 : Attempting to Connect Modem #1
Sun May 1 09:09:57 2022 : Modem #1 Connected

Seems normal

Even though I don’t have a Sierra wireless modem, I followed a bunch of steps in this post:

All the way to verifying my apn is fast.tmobile .com
I stopped short of resetting any system settings.

Can someone offer any suggestions on what I should do next?
I am trying to attach screenshots, But every time I try to upload one, I get an http error message.

Can you ping or nslookup using the built in network utilities under /Network/Diagnostics ? If not you may try to kill power to the entire setup and let it reboot to start. Sometimes just rebooting doesn't actually reset/restart the modem. After it boots try to ping again. If still nothing then I would check firewall/TTL settings. Also check online account and make sure you haven't used all of your hotspot data from incorrect TTL settings.

Modem connection to the tower can be deceiving. It may show it is connected normally but its not getting any further than the tower.

I have tried a system reboot, and a system stop followed by a full power down, multiple times.
Still no connectivity.

I tried pulling the SIM out and putting it in my spare Phone and the phone connected to LTE data just fine. (not a 5g phone)

I can try the ping and nslookup when I get back home.
I'm not familiar with what to do with nslookup, but I can Google that.

Regarding TTL and Hotspot data, my TTL should be fine. I have consumed 0 Hotspot data, only my Unlimited Data shows usage on my account.

I tried using the Ping and NSLookup tools on the router
Each time I try to ping an address O get a "Bad Address" error.
NSlookup results in a "Connection timed out, no servers could be reached" error.

the other thing I noticed is that I am not getting an IPv4 address only ipv6.
I have to manually set an IPv4 address so I can connect to the router's web interface.
I am not sure if this has something to do with t or not, but it is weird.

I ran the following command:

AT+CGDCONT?
+CGDCONT: 1,"IPV4V6","fast.t-mobile.com","0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0",0,0,0,0,,,,,,,,,"",,,,0
+CGDCONT: 2,"IPV4V6","ims","0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0",0,0,0,0,,,,,,,,,"",,,,1
+CGDCONT: 3,"IPV4V6","sos","0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0",0,0,0,1,,,,,,,,,"",,,,1

So it appears that the radio is correctly pointing to the right APN.

Next i ran: AT+CFUN=1,1

AT+CFUN=1,1
OK
That cycled the radio and makes it initiate a new call
The Network Status page showed that the modem reconnected to T-Mobile successfully.
but I did another reboot for good measure.

The system connected to T-Mobile again, but still no External IP address, and no internet access.

Im really stumped, and not sure what to try next.

The no ipv4 address makes me think that could be an issue with the router's config that was setup for me from The Wireless Haven, but I'm also wondering if it has something to do with IMEI provisioning. I have heard you can change the IMEI on your radio, but I'm not sure how.

Ok, heres an update

it seems that T-Mobile implemented all IPv6 provisioning with 464xlat.
whish may be what have cause my issue since i was not getting an IPV4 Address, and only IPV6.

But the router is now working and i have internet access again.
Last night around 11pm, it started working again.
I wasn't sure if it was anything I did or if T-mobile made a change that fixed it.

The Last thing I did before it started working again was turn the 5GHz Wireless radio off and back on again.
After I did that, I started getting an IPV4 IP address again, and internet access was restored.
Before that, I was only getting IPV6 IP addresses. The router was not supplying IPV4 addresses via DHCP
