Hello All,
Sierra Wireless newbie here.
Debian Bullseye ModemManager GUI
When I do a scan of avaliable networks every network discovered that is returned shows:
Network ID: ### Availability: Unknown access tech:EDGE
I have for now just a blank sim card,to try and get accllimated with how this all ties together.
One time doing a scan i did see one of the EDGE entries,,for Verizon showed up as LTE. Never have seen LTE appear since.
Can anyone explain what this is ? Assume the EDGE means is avaliable but not connected?
Thanks
unknown access tech:EDGE

Re: unknown access tech:EDGE
Edge is a slower fallback service, think of it like fallback from LTE to 3g they just call it Edge for when solid service on the normal platform is very weak it will fallback to the next best service it can authenticate on.
