Hi I have a WE-826 router running a GOLDENORB FIRMWARE from 2018 my router works fine after I got it to work 4 months ago, but know sometime the router losses connection with the carrier and I have to reboot it by powering it off and then back on.
My question is do I need to update the firmware or not as this happens ones in a while.

I'd recommend turning that on. That will fix disconnect issues when they happen.
Also, I recommend looking at Jim's modification to the script, to just reset the modem when it gets disconnected, rather than rebooting the whole modem/router.
