Got the crappiest modem from the worst company

I purchased the PP14O because it wasn't $300+. Bought it for 150 on amazon.

The stupid thing doest even display signal strength in dbi, nor does it show what band you are on. It only gets worse from here. The is no way to send AT commands unless their stupid band locking is considered AT command. There is no reply when using the band locking AT "command " so you're sending in the blind. since there is no way to know what band you're on it means no way to know if the band locking worked. I mean it's a real useless GUI.

I assume as a modem it works well because it does connect but I know I'm being throttled. When on the roof using an android phone I get 15-20Mbps but when connected to the modem I get 1Mbps if I'm lucky. I finally received a reply from customer support about setting the TTL and I kid you not they are asking for payment. Apparently, the TTL set setting is not available on my firmware version and I gotta pay to update the modem. Almost lost it.

Anyone here happened to know how to avoid being throttled on this crappy modem?
