I just purchased and received a WE826-T which came with an Ericsson F5521gw modem sitting in the PCI-E slot. Didn't even know it would be shipped with one. My understanding is the specs on the Ericsson are
Air Interface: HSPA+
Frequency: HSPA 850/1900/2100MHZ
Bands: EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz,
I am about 2 miles from AT&T that is band 2, 1900 mhz, HSPA+ which AT&T claims is 4G, LOL.
Anyway with a yagi tuned for 1920-2170 MHz I am getting about 5Mbps down and about 1.5 up.
My question is would I get higher speeds with Sierra Wireless MC7455 CAT 6 Modem which I had already anticipated buying before the modem was received?
Trying to find better wireless speed so I can kick my piss poor DSL internet service.
Ericsson F5521gw modem any good?

Yes, you're much more than likely get much faster speeds with 4G (LTE).
When I connected to the HPSA+ network I could get max 15 mbps down, and about 3-5mbps up. Once connected to LTE (with the same antennas) I was able to get over 80mbps down.
I'd get a Sierra MC7455, and pop it in, and go from there.

oh, you're sure there's no real LTE in you area?DickEobf wrote: Sat Jan 26, 2019 11:15 am Yes I get that 4G LTE is faster but my area doesn't have real 4G LTE only 3G HSPA+. So what is the fastest that 3G HSPA+ can run at?
You could always get a 7455 and see, cause it will still be backwards compatible with HPSA+
The max theoretical speed of HPSA+ is 42mb/sec for the sector, so you're probably looking at half of that at most in real world conditions. I wouldn't expect much more than 20mb/sec.
I went back and looked at my screenshots of when I did some tests on HPSA+ and the fastest I got was about 10mb/sec with 1mb up.

Yep, network cell info app on phone shows AT&T H+ band 2 1900Mhz and the people at the local AT&T store in the small town 15 miles from where I live say no 4G in this area. A friend stopped by and had a NETGEAR MR1100 NIGHTHAWK hotspot and he could get 12mb-13mb down and 2-3 up when standing outside. So I would ASSUME I could get that or better with 7455 in a WE826-T with a good outside antenna. I'd be happy with anything that beats my 10mb down and 1 mb up DSL.
