Em7565 inside a WG3526-P bandwidth issue

Post by slog1915 »

Good afternoon,
First and foremost, big thumbs up to you guys this site is my new hobby :D

I recently purchased a Sierra Wireless EM7565 Modem and WG3526-P from the store along with the necessary parts. Thanks to all of JimHelms posts, the Install went great and was rocking better internet than my previous landline, TTL was set to 64, and only connected to band b13. My plan is Verizon unlimited plus activated and used via a Samsung tablet which if I swap my sim into gets this for service>

last night the sim was installed in the router and I was for gaming on 2.4 WIFI

so it worked for about 10 hours, and this morning I got into the Wifix software and poked around, changed the selrat settings via the button to 4g-only, in attempt to tweak settings, restarted the router to be presented with the following abysmal speeds

not sure what I did to cause the issue, or even if there is an issue at this point, could the router be throttled? As mentioned earlier, I can put the sim back into the tablet and get decent speeds. But now the wifi on my pc/phone/ethernet is a consistent <=1 mbps up and down.

so far I've,
-changed ttl to 65,64,117 to no avail
-rechecked the install, verified antenna cables are properly seated, pcb looked fine
-reflashed the required wifix firmware
-reset the modem to factory (via AT-cmd terminal) thanks to BillA's post

long story short, internet was working now it aint. Any Ideas?

Your google drive images arent loading, they are hard to do without a link creator for them

Just use the attach file option at the bottom of the posting text box.

You likely went over the hotspot limit. Do you have ipv6 TTL(HL) set as well?

im not sure, i set it with the interface network>firewall>custom ttl

so today i find that my phone on wifi for some reason is only connecting ipv4 and has a stable connection, whereas my pc is connected both ipv4 and iv6 and has the 1mbps ul/dl
how do i force the pc to connect ipv4 only? do you think this would fix the issue?

THANK-YOU!

That fixed it, needed to set the ttl (hop limit) for ipv6
NETWORK>FIREWALL>CUSTOM RULES
Added these two lines right before #endTTL

ip6tables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o wwan0 -j HL --hl-set 64
ip6tables -t mangle -I PREROUTING -i wwan0 -j HL --hl-set 64

not the fastest internet, but it is the middle of the day on a Saturday
