EM7455 - WE826 - AT&T Connection Issues

Post by odumifi »

Hello, I am looking for support in setting up a EM7455(Dell branded) in a WE826-T2. I received everything pre-assembled but unfortunately was not able to connect and ended up erasing the out of the box firmware with a bad command(at!RMARESET=1).

After some trial and error(and lots of reading on the site) I was able to remove the EM7455 from the WE826 and inserted into my Windows machine where I successfully flashed the generic firmware back to the EM7455. To confirm i have provided the output below.

The issue is now the device IMEI does not match what is on the card and also does not match the value before I erased everything. It seems to be generating a spoofed error value(Modem IMEI: *****09999999999). I am also still unable to connect to the AT&T Network utilizing my prepaid Data SIM which has been verified by AT&T representative as valid.

Would appreciate if someone could assist in getting me pointed in the right direction? I've gone through the troubleshooting guide a few times with no luck and could use a fresh take. Thanks to all.

Re: EM7455 - WE826 - AT&T Connection Issues

Issue was resolved. Updating drivers and firmware via Windows must not have 'stuck'. After utilizing the following script I was able to obtain the factory IMEI and a connection.

I did have to rewrite a small portion(hardcode a variable) of the script as its outdated. I plan on creating a Windows version to use with a 'Mini PCI-E to USB Adapter' as well as updating the script created by Daniel Wood to work on Ubuntu.

If you need assistance utilizing the script from Daniel Wood, please dont hesitate to reach out and I will assist.
