Caylx and T-Mobile
I got a notice that Caylx is adding T-Mobile roaming support when Sprint is not available. Given that we can lock bands on our devices, we can easily make that happen. However, I have not been able to connect to any T-Mobile towers. I've tried band locking with r.ispsn APN, as well as swapping to T ...

Interesting theory. I have a spare WG device with mc7455 around, I'll try with that. Oddly it was working for months on the other tower...

Issue connecting to Sprint Towers, Not registering
Hey everyone,
I've been trying all day to connect my Caylx sim to a different sprint tower. I'm using a Cradlepoint CRA850, with an EM7565 modem. Setup works on a different tower, but that tower lost B41 and is now super slow.
I cannot get the modem to properly register against the APN:r.ispsn, it ...

Re: New ZBT 5G-ready router WG1608 + GoldenOrb firmware
Any details about speeds on 5G with this setup?
Also, has anyone been able to get N41 with a caylx (sprint) sim? I'm waiting on a new T-Mo sim to test for 5g connectivity, but all of their plans seem to throttle streaming, so getting it from the Sprint side would be ideal.

Re: How to factory reset a MC400LP6?
Got it sorted out.
Flashed generic firmware for the mc7455, and then switched to qmi and everything started to work again.

Re: How to factory reset a MC400LP6?
Hmm, the device appears to only have Verizon firmware installed, and my computer complains it is using too much power for USB. Any idea what's going on? I have no idea where he got this modem

How to factory reset a MC400LP6?
I am trying to setup cradlepoint CRA850LP6 for a friend, and somehow I messed up the modem so that it is no longer found by the cradlepoint?
I was attempting to setup on Visible, and I must have fat fingered the usb comp or something, as soon as I did at!reset it never found the modem again.

Re: EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
Looks like my sprint tower doesn't support 3xCA. Tried the Verizon Sim from my phone and it correctly got 3xCA.
Anecdotally it seems that the EM7565 is more stable in terms of dropped packets, I'm going to continue to use it for a few weeks and see if it helps with video conferencing.

Re: EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
Interesting, I think I see a difference here, for some reason my CA is using B40 instead of B41, even though locked to B41?
As you will see, I don't have 3X CA on this tower.

Re: EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
Yep both are on Band 41. Both modems configured with the same antennas on Main and Aux, although if you look at my first post, seems I do have some difference between signal strength on each antenna, maybe that has something to do with it?

Re: EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
OK this is very bizarre. Thanks to your helpful post, it does indeed connect. I have switched back and forth between the LP4 and the EM7565 multiple times, and although they both appear to be doing 2X CA, I am seeing very different speed test results.

Re: EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
Thanks! That was the issue. I was missing the APN in cradelpoint's software.
Connected without issue. However appears that its staying in 2X CA. Although I am seeing higher upload speeds, but that is probably just coincidental.
I have a Verizon sim lying around, so going to try that out too to see ...

EM7565 in Cradlepoint Router?
Someone mentioned on the FB group that you can use Sierra Wireless cards in Cradlepoint routers, and therefore save a ton over the officially supported modems that are sold by Cradlepoint. I'm cross posting from FB, because I haven't received a response there, and I find that the forum is a better ...

Re: Issue with CA. Any way to disable?
Did some research this evening, and ended up ordering a used mushrooms networks truffle router. In theory it will bond the connections together for HTTP requests, support load balancing, and failover. I picked it over the PepLinks because it offered the bonding, versus just the failover. We will see ...

Re: Issue with CA. Any way to disable?
Thanks for the replies, and for the education on MIMO, for some reason I thought it only mattered with CA.
Appears it was a tower issue, as I just when I was about to switch back to B41 and disable CA with the commands you posted, B41 w/ CA is back in great working shape. Figures as soon as I ...

Issue with CA. Any way to disable?
Howdy Folks,
Up until a few days ago, everything was humming along well with Sprint. Then all of a sudden I started getting a lot of packet loss/drop-outs. After some trouble shooting it appears that this is only happening when CA is enabled. B25 and B26 work fine, and B41 works fine until it ...

Issues with WG3526-P communicating to the modem
Howdy Folks,
Thanks for all of the help so far. I've finally got decent internet thanks to this forum. Now I'm onto my last remaining issue. I have a WG3526 coupled with a mc7455 installed in the PCI-e slot. I'm running the latest version of r00ter. The problem I have is that randomly the router ...

Re: CA on omnidirectional antennas?
CA worked with two omni antennas without issue. Signal strength is a bit weak (64%), but am able to lock onto B41 and get CA. Speeds now ~45 down, 4 up. Download is obviously way better, but up is much lower than B26. I assume this is due to weaker signal strength. I'm happy with this as I don't ...

CA on omnidirectional antennas?
I have a lot of trees and hills around my house, and was unable to get reliable B41 reception on the high gain directional antenna I purchased (only was able to get a ping lock once, and no CA, so speeds were pretty slow).
However, I am able to get decent speeds using some cheapo antennas that ...

Re: WG3526-P Router w/Sierra MC7455 Modem inside a DM25X19 Antenna
Thanks for the detailed witeup and tutorial, came in handy this weekend when I was doing my own build. One question, is what version of ROOTter you are running, I'm using the latest version (2017-12-15) and my modem details page doesn't include the SINR or modem temp. Also, as I was doing my ...
