Re: RG6 cabling verus RG58
Some of the cellular bands operate above 1 Ghz.. I know B66 is in the 1.7 Ghz range.. You need a good cable for that.. LMR400 would be a good choice..

Re: T-Mobil TM-RTL0102 Connection stats???
Do you still have the TM trashcan??
Yes.. Going to keep it as a backup.
By using the older style white box, I can elevate it to get maximum signal quality without worrying that the 5G is going to kick in on the N71 band.. whenever that happens, I lose all internet no matter how strong the 4G ...

T-Mobil TM-RTL0102 Connection stats???
So I disconnected my T-Mobile 5G trashcan and bought the older white 4G LTE white modem that T-Mobile use to issue.
The reason is because my N71 band here is screwed up so if I position the modem for a good signal, it picks up the secondary signal on 5G (N71) and I lose all internet.
So now ...

Aren't those 75ohm cables? I thought all the cellular stuff required 50 ohms?

UPDATE:
Still playing with it.. Finding that the increase in SNR might be because I'm testing at night an its an hour later..
Not clear yet.

T-Mobile Nokia 5G21 Interesting Discovery
If you have a Nokia 5G21 router from T-Mobile, you might be interested to find that the square white wall wart transformer that is uses to provide 12vdc power is very noisy.. and if placed too close to the unit, it will tax you almost 5 to 7db in SNR.

Re: T-Mobile Gateway Signal Question
So yeah I agree something is up with issues you are having. Band 12 is a lower frequency able to travel farther. Which is why you can get it pointed the wrong way. With it being a lower frequency it will be slower as well.
Hopefully this is just a tower needing repaired.

T-Mobile USB Port Question
My T-Mobile Home Internet Modem (Nokia 5G21-12W-A) has a USB-C port.
Reading the manual, it says "USB Port Currently Not Functional"
Does anyone know if it will at least provide power? I don't have a USB-C cable to plug into it for testing and don't want to order one if it doesn't work.

UPDATE
I made a bracket to get the antenna up another 24 inches above the roof.. Started playing with the modem again and got a bit more aggressive with my experimenting.
Tried connecting the antenna to ports 2 and 4, then 1 and 3.. Tried pointing it in different directions, even getting so bold ...

Re: T-Mobile Gateway Signal Question
Hello again,
In my experience with the T-Mobile Gateway there isn't always a correlation with signal stats it shows and performance. THERE SHOULD BE! But usually isn't.
Please try using L4 and L2 as connections for the outdoor antenna. Let us know if it helps or not. Believe these might be the two ...

Re: T-Mobile Gateway Signal Question
Hello,
When you say 2x2 mimo guessing you have two wires going to the T-Mobile Gateway? To what ports do you have it going to? Like L1 thru L4?
Which two is it going to?
The modem has 5 ports, two on the top, two on the bottom, GPS port in the middle.
I connect to the two on the bottom.. that ...

Help with wavefarm 2x2 MIMO and T-Mobile Tashcan
I live in the rural countryside about 2 miles from my tower.. nothing but farm fields and tree lines between me and the T-Mobile tower. I normally connect on the Primary Signal only with B2 or B66 and get speeds of 20/5 during the day, 1/3 in the evening, and 50/5 after 11pm.

Re: T-Mobile Gateway Signal Question
I haven't seen that myself, but I replaced the gateway immediately so I don't have a comparison to see if I would have experienced it or not.
The biggest reason to replace it is to have better options for adding your own wifi network and not having to wait for the firmware to get updated to allow ...
