Parabolic dish antennas make their maximum gain at higher rated frequencies, even if they are advertised as broadband. The gain is not uniform across all advertised frequencies. In fact dropoff can be steep.
You are better off with a huge yagi or log periodic antenna. This is the real deal right ...

Re: Can I bypass a cell tower using a directional outdoor antenna?
Lots of misconceptions in this thread.
You don't need a specific antenna to block cells. You should always use a high gain directional antenna when it makes sense to do so. You just need a Quectel modem that supports AT+QNWLOCK
Each Quectel modem has a different QNWLOCK syntax, and its very poorly ...

That's RSSI, I presume?
Is carrier aggregation distinct from MIMO or is it the same thing?

It still works fine without the need for any router or vpn on visible os 10.x thru 11
Your phone is subject to the same rules as you are within iptables and its loaded modules so,
If it is not working for you check your settings, when u set your rules (if that is what u do) always use post rules ...

Re: T-Mobile $50 for 100GB HotSpot
I have both this plan and the hotspot. For some reason it doesn’t get the same signal as my Tmobile iPhone 11 Pro Max. Not even looking for 5G honestly, but I expected the same level of service as my phone.
Apple pays top dollar for top of the line Qualcomm modems. You won't get any modem as ...

Re: 5 year RV nomad looking for better mobile solutions.
Antennas are the most important investment. Most routers are absolute garbage so I rolled my own "router" by hooking up my LTE USB modem to my PC which runs Linux and KDE. KDE networkmanager has a built-in internet connection sharing feature which distributes my internet connections wifi (in AP mode ...

Make sure your power supply is capable and the power is stable. If you aren't supplying additional input power, you should always do so if the capability exists.

Re: TTL and more settings, what else?
I don't know when this regression was introduced, but all hotspot features of Android 10.3.12 seem to rewrite the TTL of packets so you are out of luck tethering with the phone. You need to use an app which tunnels data between computer and the phone using android usb debugging, and I found the most ...

EM12-G: MIMO vs CA
I have no problem with getting carrier aggregation when downloading large files using EM12-G on firmware EM12GPAR01A21M4G_01.004.01.004.
I don't seem to be able to get MIMO to kick in though. How does that work?
