Have you tried locking the modem to Bells bands? Seems like using APNs may be too
complicated due to the roaming.

Re: Need assistance regaining access to KuWfi (cpe812cat6) AP
Should be pretty easy, if you're happy with the network set-up "as-is".
Just disconnect the KuWfi from your network, plug an ethernet cable
from your computer directly to a LAN port on the KuWfi, log into the GUI
and make your changes. Then re-install the KuWfi back into the network.
Good luck, DDK ...

Re: TTL and HL settings and how they help when modified
@carp4 I've asked that same question & never gotten an answer, maybe someday?
I use 64 for both TTL & HL when using a modem and TTL & HL of 65 when tethering.
I'm using Visible as my IP (I believe they're IPV6) and it works for me. DDK

Re: Beginner build questions - Rpi 4 + DW 5821e
The antennas you linked to are RP-SMA, they don't have the center pin needed to make a connection to the
SMA connectors on most modem adapters. So, double check what you need for the enclosure.

Re: Starter Router Rural Area
To experiment on the cheap & give yourself the best chance of success I'd recommend a Gl.inet Mango travel
router, about $30. You can load ROOter(GO) on it if you want. It's only 2in. square, so it easily fits in a box mounted
as close to your antennas as possible. Power it over ethernet, a power ...

Re: Messing up with TTL using different variations... still getting throttled and frustrated
If you're using Visible and you have the Visible App on your phone, it probably doesn't matter what TTL/HL you
use, the app is probably tattling on you. Also, I have found that they're looking at your activity on the network, a
few days ago I was getting a 85mbps dl speed(tested that morning), I ...

I was wondering if anyone else was getting a 5mbps throttle. I've not made any changes since I
first noticed this, it seems to last for a day then reverts back to normal 75>90mbps speed. It only
happens occasionally. When it happens it seems to be an obvious throttling, as the speed test

Re: Changing TTL with a Scheduled Task
Strange, I'm not having any problems on Visible. I've set my TTL & HL(hop limit) to 64 (same as an android phone) & I've never had to change it. If you're only setting TTL (in the router GUI) it may be a problem, TTL settings are for IPV4, HL settings are for IPV6. Visible seems to use IPV6. It's my ...

Re: em7455, pci-e adapter ,visible sim
Actually I probably get double the speed thru the EM7455 as my Samsung S8 phone. The modem,
adapters & router are outdoors on a mast 7' below a X-pol, mimo panel antenna. So it receives
a far stronger signal. To be clear, the only thing I do to get those speeds is using TTL/HL values of
65. Now ...

Who knows? I'm no Guru, hell I didn't even sleep at that famous hotel. As I understand it, Android
uses a native TTL of 64 as does Linux & Apple & Mac, Windows uses 128. So, if an ISP is using TTL to
identify a device as a phone they'd be looking for 64. The Android native tethering app decrements ...

Re: em7455, pci-e adapter ,visible sim
Simple answer is yes. I've done this with three of the Dell EM7455s. I used the DW5811e/3P10Y versions.
They also were id'd as EM7455/1102424. IIRC, these modems were listed on Zukota's site as being the
most likely to be convertible, others may be more problematic. Two of the three were converted ...

Re: TTL and more settings, what else?
Glad to see someone ask that. I'm using visible, I set my modem TTL to 64 for both IPV4 & IPV6 and
I see 85-87mbps dn & 17-20mbps up. I use a second set of TTL rules for tethering, those are set to
65 for both IPV4/IPV6, the only thing limited is video streaming since I don't use a VPN.
