In my experience, CA doesn't work with b4 & b66 together, as one is the subset of the other (similar to 12/25). You could just remove b4 from the mix.

Re: EM12-G Carrier Aggregation AT&T
I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the same issue or not, but after lots of speed tests & single/multi band locking, it seems when CA shows as active, the speeds do not increase versus that of a single band. Example tests @ 2-3am: B2: 27mbps B14: 45mbps B66: 37mbps (picks up 2 cells, 10mhz+5mhz) If I ...

Re: MC7455 Lock on Cell Id?
After you restart the modem, does it stick to the specified cellID order when you send a "neighbourcell"? The reason I'm asking, is because towers can actually override it to ensure network integrity. Just thought I'd followup & say I got my setup going, and was able to lock to one tower (set ...

Re: EM12-G / NEXQ6GO-M capped at 22-25mbps?
Who knew WiFi was so complicated
Both routers had about the same speed. I got up to around 40mbps once. I had wireless disabled on the NEXQ6GO-M, but enabled it for testing.
Here are the specs from the manual of my Netgear WNDR3400v3:

EM12-G / NEXQ6GO-M capped at 22-25mbps?
I have an EM12-G modem inside the NEXQ6GO-M router. Using mobile data on my phone, I can break 100mbps early morning, but over WiFi, it won't go over 25mbps (seems to flutter around 22-23mbps). Actually just got it to around 28mbps. I originally had it connected to my main router, using a cat5 cable ...

Re: M1 Nighthawk experiment
I believe the nighthawk will not perform wifi properly with out the battery in. No wifi with no battery no issue though. Used to use one with no battery hooked to different router with the nighthawk wifi off. Thanks! I'll have to try that. I recently changed wifi range to long, too, because kids ...

Re: M1 Nighthawk experiment
The M1 had started to lose connection and reboot, but it may have been the AT&T transparent proxy issue, not sure. So I'm trying to get my M1 running smoothly before I move it to a more permanent location (and connected to a router). Today, I noticed the wifi on it was dropping. I looked at the M1 ...

Are you still using this setup?
I'm looking at doing a similar setup, but with PoE. I just ordered a PoE splitter, but it looks like I need a PoE injector as well?

Re: NetGear NightHawk M1 Inside Antenna Ports
Any luck with this? I just ordered a used one off eBay. Moments later, I saw a post on the Netgear forums, that said the internal antennas were for 1800-2700mhz. They also said the external TS-9 ports were for 700mhz bands. There is no band 13 support (right?), so I'm not sure how accurate this is ...

Can I use Quectel EG18 from a phone?
I have a Galaxy S9+ with a botched screen replacement (oops). I was thinking about keeping it to tether with, but I'll need to upgrade firmware, etc, and the top half the screen, I can't see π Any chance I can I remove the modem from it & drop it in an enclosure or router? A cat18 would be nice π ...

Re: Congestion throttling and maximum DL
Same predicament here. Local tower, band 2 gave me 9 down / 12 up, while a tower more than twice as far, on band 66, gave me 41 down / 2 up (tested immediately after switching the band). This was with just my phone. Band locking + Carrier aggregation is awesome. My local tower doesn't do CA on band ...

Re: Budget build help
Do you need an all in one WIFI router + modem? If not, you could build the modem in a USB 3 box and connect via USB to a router. I suppose not, but I'm not sure what you mean by usb 3 box, as I'm new to this arena π Something like this? https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/pcie-m-2/mini-pci-e/usb3-0-to ...

Re: Budget build help
I'd go with a 826Q and EP06A from The Wireless Haven. I spoke with The Wireless Haven sales yesterday and they said a shipment should arrive within the next day or so. Looking at CA for the EP06A, it is limited to 2x CA, and doesn't seem to support B2+B66. Is this a technical impossibility? Or is ...

Budget build help
I'm considering building an LTE router, but would like to keep it under $250. I have 2 Proxicast yagi (or log per?) antennas already - the ones encased in a white triangular box. My goal is to connect to 1 of 2 towers: A)5.4 & B)5.9mi away, instead of the one that is C)2.2mi away. Tower C only has ...

Re: Rural internet antenna setup HELP!
Just out of curiosity I did some research on a cheap antenna rotator and noticed that some of the less expensive TV antennas have them powered through the CO-AX cable. Something like this; https://www.ebay.com/itm/480-Miles-Outdoor-TV-Antenna-Motorized-Amplified-HDTV-1080P-4K-V-U-360-Rotation ...

Can I repurpose a VZ cantenna?
I have an old home fusion broadband antenna that we haven't used in a few years, that was attached to our in-law's house. I pulled it down yesterday and started disassembly. I was thinking of using it with Visible, if possible. They have fairly poor signal inside their house, so if it works, I could ...

Can I bypass a cell tower using a directional outdoor antenna?
We have 3 VZ cell towers within range of our house. One is 2.2mi away, SE of us, which gets very congested. It seems to only have bands 2 & 13 on the side that serves us. I've occasionally seen speeds up to 45mbps during the day, but it drops to <1mbps every evening. There's a tower 5.4mi away ...
