Looks similar to the device I got a while back, no fan in mine though and config is done via Minicom USB.

I own a router that has a modem socket but my MC7455 won't fit. Is there any kind of adapter that can convert the socket to PCIE.

My chip is IPQ6000 and it is not supported by OpenWRT yet, so Rooter cannot either, that's probably the same for your chip.

Re: Z800AX 5G Router
I have the ZBT-Z6001AX with the same firmware I haven't used my modem in it yet but I think the Web CMD under the System tab would be most likely.
I have an external USB adapter which allows me to program the modem from Linux via Terminal. You could do that then fit it into your router.

Re: Quectel RM520N-GL modem - Wrong mode? Not connecting to T-Mobile
I have the ZBT-Z6001AX running OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05.1 22.1101_141831 and kernel 4.4.60. I don't think it will ever be supported by Rooter.
I had the RAM upgraded to 512MB for a small fee.

Just switched from a Sierra MC7455 to a Quectel and the modem responses to questions is confusing.

Re: IPQ6000 based routers.
The problem is the Chinese manufacturers are choosing chips not supported by openWRT. If there is no official image for openWRT, Rooter generally wont spend time on making an image. Many of these IPQ chips have come out over the last few years, the Chinese manufacturers modify their 2015 ...

It would be nice if IPQ6000 devices were supported by Rooter DD-WRT or someone else. As it is I am stuck with the Chinese developed version of Open-WRT which is old as I understand it.
They are decent devices more worthy of inclusion than some I have used.

3G as bad as it is is being phased out this year in the UK. That means if you can't get a decent 4G or 5G signal the new fallback will be 2G.

I've never had that particular modem but I use a pair of magnifying glasses and a lot of patience. I never find it easy though. It is extremely frustrating. There ought to be a device invented that will do the job. Or the process simplified by the manufacturers by using larger connectors.
