Re: T-Mobile antenna info
I would order from The Wireless Haven, Jim has some very good antennas. Being a mile from tower, would have tried: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/antennas/wifi-antennas/omni-directional-w/cisco-4g-lte-antenna-with-extension/
Remember: you get what you pay for. Plus, when you have a problem ...

Re: T-Mobile antenna info
I did a little random testing with this antenna https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws.com/specification_sheets/ccd_0001560.pdf I stood on the tongue of the camper and held it over my head and was able to pull down 12 mbps and 9 mbps up. So I ordered this cheap antenna https://www.amazon.com/Outdoor ...

Re: T-Mobile antenna info
I did not have enough time to do much research, but I did find a tower 1 mile away from my camper to the south and one 6.6 miles to the north. I want to get a cheap omni-directional antenna just to get my office up and running then get me a much better set up once it proves out. My question is do I ...

Re: New guy with just enough info to be dangerous
Cool.
Figure out the modem. But all they need is a power up, verify the firmware, maybe an update, and lastly a valid SIM card and they could be up and interwebz providing for whoever.
If you really want to play, you could get a few of the up and learn about load balancing and even WAN bonding ...

T-Mobile antenna info
Okay here we go again I'm pretty new to this stuff and after biting the bullet and ordering a OTR mobile sim. I got my WE826-T working, but the signal is so weak with my current antennas I might as well not have it. I have a permanent camper by the lake and am trying to work from home there. I also ...

Re: WE826-T help
I really appreciate all the help from you guys. I did figure out what I did wrong between all the links provided and searching past post. Now I just have to find some antennas since the T-Mobile signal is nowhere near as strong advertised.

Re: WE826-T help
Ok I made a little headway, found that I had a bad Ethernet cable causing the software not to load. I was able to load the WiFiX software (I thought it was the firmware recover method causing the problem at first or I would have loaded it as suggested). I ran through several check as suggested in ...

Re: WE826-T help
Thanks JimHelms, is there a flash your router for dummies guide in here I have been searching and reading for hours and have only managed to get a headache. Most of the guides assume you know what you are doing. I have managed to brick one modem following the ROOTter by of Modems and Men.

WE826-T help
As I stated in a few of my post I acquired a few WE826-T devices, I found they are using a Quectel EC25-A. I purchased a OTR Mobile unlimited T-Mobile data plan and I am getting no connection at all. I put the sim in and ran a speed test with cheap internal antennas and got 0.31 mbps. I unplugged ...

GSM data only plan
Anybody have a recommendation for a company that is on a GSM network that has an inexpensive unlimited data plan or a larger plan? I was going to go with OTR mobile but they just raised their prices $20 more a month. I'm looking to be able to have my home office at my camper and entertain the grand ...

Re: New guy with just enough info to be dangerous
I currently have zero tips, and 23 units. All are using a GSM modem, I'll open one up and get some numbers later. They are units from the RV industry that customers reset and lost the installed settings from the OEM or the customer was given the wrong SIM card by the cell provider and were sent back ...

New guy with just enough info to be dangerous
I'm new to most of this tech but i am looking to learn. I have several WE826 devices I'm looking to modify or upgrade to get me some internet at the lake on the cheap. Anybody have some cool tips or tricks or any good links for some much needed research. I have about 20 or so at the moment, so I am ...
