Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Hello! I've successfully setup an OpenMPTCProuter on an Intel-i3 based SBC with 8 Gigabit NIC's (industrial PC/router enclosure) I imported from China (the usual suspects). Pretty much everything went without a hitch, save attempting to find a VPS provider that could potentially provide a ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
This is fantastic! Thank you!
I got it going despite some head scratching moments-- I have a static IP on one WAN line (required setting OpenMPTCP to DHCP on that interface) and the physical ports on the Qotom device don't align with the logical ports in the software.
It works great now but ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Here's another post I did earlier this year on the ROOter forum, which is now a bit difficult to find. I did this post in late January, and I've since moved from the Raspberry Pi 4B to a Qotom x86 (i3) industrial PC with 4x gigabit Ethernet ports, 2x USB3 and 2x USB2 ports. OpenMPTCProuter needs ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
There are three ways I've seen Ethernet ports handled on versions of OpenWRT:
The first is when there is support for an integrated switch (driver required), and in this case there will be a menu item under Network - Switch.
[/code]
Ok. That's what this r7800 is doing. So I assume I just need ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Things have changed for us here in the far reaches of the Colorado mountains -- we now have fiber!
Bnhf2, you seem to really understand vlans and routing. I'm having an issue which I could really use your assistance. I currently am running it on the wrt3200 with their precompiled image. Wifi ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
After some thought I think I'm going to run the openmptcp VPS part on a old laptop I don't use anymore and stick it at my mother in laws place where she has fiber in town. That will solve all my VPN blocking streaming services and also even less ping. I guess all I need to do is give it a static ip ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Hey Russ! Glad to have you on the OMR user team -- it's really sweet once you've got everything configured.
You're going to want to forward all ports from the VPS to your OMR router using the tick box under System -OpenMPTCProuter - Advanced settings. Then forward Plex, Ombi and whatever as you ...

Re: WAN Bonding with ROOter and OpenMPTCProuter
Ok. I jumped on the wagon here and setup openMPTCP using Vultr and a linksys wrt3200. I have a cba820/em7565 sprint on wan1 and a netgear nighthawk att on wan2. Everything seems to be working great but now im trying to get all my streaming services, online gaming, and plex/ombi servers working right ...

Turn off connection monitoring to stop the modem from trying to reconnect. Then reboot the router then you will be able to issue commands.

Re: Flash Mofi4500 firmware on WE826 with MC7455
Any way to get around this internal ID number?
I find Mofi's user interface and firmware to have more options than OpenWrt / GoldenOrb
Im sure there is a way around it. I've just never tried personally. You can download their openwrt firmware they use and open it with a certain program and ...

You can't do this. Mofi has their firmware and routers programmed to only work on the routers internal id numbers they provide.

Re: Franklin R850 tethering ?
Openwrt does not have drivers available to run the Franklin r850. Your only option is using the hotspot manager and doing the tethering via wifi.

Re: DMZ - Alternative to Bridging a Router
Openwrt actually bridges interfaces just fine, it's the rooter scripts that stops the bridge from working. Rooter is just not set up for this feature. If you want a true bridge just dont use rooter. Install your drivers and packages you need to run the modem then just bridge the lan and wan and it's ...

Re: Are usb to mini pci adaptors still needed?
I have a dual boot linksys wrt series router. I use one partition with openwrt and rooter package as my daily driver. My other boot is openwrt and modem manager. With modern manager you can update right on the router.

Re: MC7455 Won't Connect to Network B41
The signal is to low and will drop packets. Are you running connection manager? If so, dont. The connection manager will restart your connection when it shouldn't with signals that bad.

Re: WG3526 Not connecting.
All antennas seem fine to me. Diversity and main both show signal. You're deregistered indicating to me that you didn't enter the apn in rooter under the modem connection info area.
