Re: Verizon Latency Issues?
Off Topic, but do you have any links to info on how to setup modem manager with stock openwrt? I want to replace GoldenOrb with openwrt, so I can have ip pass through.
I just built it using these three pages:

Re: Latency Issues? (Solved: QMI > MBIM)
IPv6 works fine with QMI on both Sprint and Verizon.
Tested on:
1) GO 3-10
2) OpenWRT w/MM
3) Arch w/MM
Verizon was on the EM7565 (FW12) for all 3. Sprint was on the EM7455 (FW23) for all 3.
An interesting note is that ipv4 might actually be handled differently on verizon - I had mentioned ...

Re: Power usage of various router and modem combinations
I'm probably going to get one of those AC measuring devices, as I need one anyways. I'll take some measurements of the PI with a few modems and see what happens.

Re: WE1326 question
There is a picture of the main board on wikidevi.com that labels the LEDs as PWR-5.8G-2.4G-WAN-LAN4-LAN3-LAN2-LAN1. The picture appears to be Version 00, so not sure how the V5 would differ. On the WE1326 that I have, the three from the left are on always on.

Re: WE1326 question
I know this is a odd question to ask, but the LEDS are unlabeled, I know 5 on the right are WAN/LAN and the power is on the far left but, that leaves two. And the one next to wan is constantly blinking, im assuming that is wifi, what is the one in between power and wifi?, I've never seen it on ...

Wireless ISPs (WISPs)
Thought I'd start a thread to discuss WISPs. I think a lot of folks that are technical and setting up 4G conections are probably learning about WISPs in the process. They are very common in rural areas now to solve the rural broadband problem.

Re: Att 65 dollar prepaid not working on wifix
Neither plan will work in a modem due to the IMEI recognition. And as far as the speed of your tablet plan not sure if it’s your signal because with the stay at home orders in certain areas the towers are congested and causing slow speeds.
But didn't you say earlier if you activate the service ...

Hey Bill! Do you have personal experience of blowing through say 600GB on PagePlus over several months and not getting shut down? Re: Att 65 dollar prepaid not working on wifix
Unfortunately, I'm down in the "barely 1 bar" territory here. I just put the sim in a Pixel 1 and went on the roof. Handful of mbps down and 0.3 to 0.4 up. My regular phone on a t-mobile sim at least got teens down and 1-2 Mbps up, and it doesn't even support all the bands. The pixel 1 may only be ...

I'm in the same boat as you xdavidx, I too have att tablet/sierra combo and am looking for a backup for safety net reasons. The way I see it is they are cracking down on the data hog abusers as of now, when they see non legit sim they suspend the account. I'm pretty sure if you keep your numbers ...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
Put the sim card into a phone, call customer service from another phone (800-331-0500 or 800-901-9878), tell them that it has stopped working all of a sudden, and ask them to fix it. Course don't tell them that you're going to use it in a router. If they were able to fix it, do NOT put it back ...

Thanks for posting that. Could come in handy for someone.
Regarding powering the usb enclosure remotely, with one of the extenders that has the extra power jack, that's only needed if you aren't using a powered hub?
Good stuff, if for no other reason, than it could be done, so it was done. :D ...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
When going through the T-moble website to purchase the plan, $60 "Simply Prepaid Unlimited Plus", their website is a little goofy and took me a minute to find the bring your own device checkbox to continue. It automatically adds a 3-in-1 SIM Starter Kit. Do I need to be aware of anything else before ...

I don't know the exact issue. Just that the Cat6 modem is working with both sims from ATT that are Prepaid.
