Hi,

I no longer have a functional mini pci-e adapter to reflash, is there some quick instructions to reflash it via shell from the we826-t2 somewhere or is having that adapter necessary every time?

Thanks but for this exercise I explicitly stated via CLI. That looks to be paywalled.

I believe flash the firmware can be done running a ModemManager build, but not otherwise.

Do you have more info on how to expose the modem ports to he pc while mounted inside the router?
Would you connect the router's usb port to the pc?
Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I will try it. I just have not had much success getting this onto my AT&T prepaid sim but it works fine in a cheap $40 at&t phone. I had already ordered a usb to mini pci-e adapter again to replace the crappy one I got last week and sent back.

Ill play with this a bit and see, may need to just try another carrier out. I was hoping to get away with this plan but if its not firmware it must be signal related. Tho most of the signals I pick up seem to fall into the 'fair' category of the signal area of the troubleshooting guide. It just does not connect at all to data, LTE or WCDMA at ALL. SMS works ok on wcdma, LTE just rolls through the presented band list then falls back to 3g. If I lock it to 4g only, no more SMSs.

I do not know the specifics as I have never performed the process.

I believe it is done by placing the firmware in the temp file of the router, and then using SSH to issue the commands.

Since your MC7455-CP came out of a Cradlepoint MC400 modem, you may need to reset the modem to OEM and then flash it with the latest Sierra Generic firmware.

Geez... my mistake. I simply glanced at the topic heading and noticed MC7455-CP which is a modem out of a Cradlepoint.

Glad you go it figured out.
