I don't know the AT command nuances of each, but you should be able to ask Quectel sales directly if no one answers your question here.
BUT..... Since IMEI number changes isnt legal in the USA, to my understanding, I would simply ask, "Are all the AT commands EXACTLY the same betweem the 06-A and the other 06 versions?"
