CBA850L6 ATT; <1 mbps

On my dad's ATT cellphone I have 2/6 bars and regularly see 20-30 mbps. On my CBA850 I have 5/5 bars and am getting roughly .01-.5 mbps. Time of day doesn't matter. Bands 2, 4, 5, 12, and 17 are within 3-5 miles (flat ground without any large trees). I've done the AT! command thing and locked onto individual bands and had good-excellent signal strength but it doesn't matter what band I'm on, I get horrible speeds. I've tried CA setups and no improvement either. I have it going to a WAP through LAN1.

I've tried this setup with a cell booster with directional antenna and Omni with no improvement. Signal strength is unreal but the internet speeds actually got worse. Antennas have been mounted in the attic and on the roof with little to no improvement on 50 ohm line.

I could really use some help...been pulling my hair out and been without internet for 6 weeks now....Kid's school require that they use internet and I'm on call with my clinic so I have to routinely drive into town just to open patient charts, etc. I have no other options other than an LTE service at this point in time so any help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of data plan are you using, and is there a limit to hotspot allowance?

Also, it is often hard to compare a cellphone's performance with that of a router. Most cell phones today use a higher category of technology and additional bands that may not be available to the MC400LP6 CAT6 modem.

I would first take the AP out of the loop, and connect the CBA850 directly to a PC.

Since you have already mastered band locking, run the follow AT command and post the results:

Code: Select all

AT!GSTATUS?
