Hello, Im trying to install Tailscale for my Modem. Ive installed followed the directions, Ive downloaded ADB & Fastboot++. I’ve enabled adb on my modem. Ive disabled my computer’s firewall for good measure. But on the windows computer, it kept saying the network is unreachable. But my computer does detect the device as an adb. And this is the link from the document GitHub - iamromulan/quectel-rgmii-toolkit: Quectel module RGMII toolkit https://github.com/iamromulan/quectel-rgmii-toolkit[url]

Not sure why would you need ADB/Fastboot modem access to install Talscale?
You can simply install it on a Windows or Linux box, or probably even on an OpenWRT router.

Code: Select all

curl -fsSL https://tailscale.com/install.sh

So how can I do it through goldernorb? I want to get tailscale set up before I go back to openwrt. It has an option to where I can activate its web ui on the 8080 port.

First, here's how Tailscale works.

To install and use Tailscale on an OpenWRT based router like GoldenOrb.

Keep in mind that every device has it's own way of installation.

I want to use start using Ethernet instead of using USB 3.0 connection. Goldernorb is what im running on my router. I have control of the modem using my Wrt3200acm but it's not stable for my day to day internet connection using USB. So openwrt is much more stable with ethernet and I'm trying to install openwrt back. But if I do go back to Openwrt as an ethernet connection over the modem, then I lose access and control over my modem, because i dont have Tailscale installed for my RM500Q-AE. So for me to have control for JUST the modem separately, then i have to install Tailscale to my Modem DIRECTLY, that's the issue I'm having here. But my modem gets internet connection to the computer, I blocked firewall, I unlocked the bootloader from the modem. I just recently installed windows 11, still does the same thing, it does get internet but it's not reachable on adb/fastboot. What can I do?

To have full control over the modem, install it into the PCIe slot in a standalone mobile routers found on The Wireless Haven.

Most are flashable with GoldenOrb (based on OpenWRT) giving you full control over the modem without having to worry about any firewall issues.
Or you can have the modem installed in a standalone USB enclosure connected to a router running GoldenOrb.
Having the modem connected directly to a pc will cause firewall issues.
