WG1608 unresponsive after flashing from bootloader

Hi all,

I'm trying to resurrect my WG1608 after a year or so of not using it. Right now I can access the bootloader and successfully flash the firmware, but it doesn't come back up after a reboot. I've tried a couple of different firmware versions with both the 16MB & 32MB builds but have had no luck. I've searched the forum and, beyond the pinned post on how to get to the bootloader, I can't find anything appropriate.

Suggestions for next steps in debugging this?

Cheers

Simon

I usually revert to using the usb ttyl / UART serial pins to see what's happening in the bootup phase. You will want to use the 16M firmware images, very unlikely you have a 32M version, and even then the 16M version will work.

Thanks. I've ordered one.

Interestingly, there's always a hidden SSID, (even in the bootloader, which I don't remember) and for a few minutes after rebooting following a flash there's a Rooter2G SSID that's visible in Acrylic on my PC, and Ubiquiti WiFiman on my phone, but neither Windows or Android find it as an AP to connect to. I never get a ping response to 192.168.1.1 after the flash either. :(

Hopefully the ttyl/UART output will yield some info.

Tx
