What data plans will a MOFI4500 SIM 7 V3 still work on?

I have used my MOFI 4500 SIM 7 V3 for a couple of years using Visible Wireless and have been happy with it. I recently was forced to do the Visible upgrade and I can't get the new Visible service to work in my MOFI. I looked at getting an AT&T data plan, but apparently MOFI 4500 does not work on their network anymore. I am looking for input on what cellular and/or data plans still work with a MOFI 4500. I mainly use the MOFI during warm weather when my family is RVing. Any input is greatly appreciated.

The SIM7 uses the EC25. Have you updated it's firmware; the modem firmware, not the router?

It should still work on Verizon with the right settings. ATT and Tmo as well.

How do I update the modem firmware? Is this done through the MOFI site http://192.168.10.1?

Unfortunately no, you'll need an adapter and some software. Shoot MOFI an email and see if they can help, if not we can do our best :)

You'll have to remove the modem if MOFI doesn't have QFirehose software built into the firmware.

Process is exactly the same as this: https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=1225

I have Visible and would like to try to update the modem firmware if it will get my 4500 v3 sim7 to work with Visible. Is this what they call "magic" on the internet?

"Magic" just means to change the IMEI to a different IMEI to make the carriers think you are using a difference type device, like a phone instead of a modem. It is referred to as "Magic" and other things because in some coutries it is considered illegal (The US is not one of them, but the FCC and the cell carriers don't need more reasons to blacklist people so it stays on the downlow as far as out in the open talk)
